Team Leader

Madeline Mauro – Foundress

Like many, I have struggled with living as a child of God in a secular world. Yet, deep within me, there has always been a longing to be an authentic disciple of Christ—to truly know the heart of Jesus. In 2003, God answered that longing in a profound way, bestowing upon me the gift of tongues and, with it, an insatiable thirst to learn more about His ministry of healing.

As I grew in my faith, I realized that the Catholic Church often lacks structured roles for laywomen in the Healing Ministry. Seeking wisdom and experience, I turned to my brothers and sisters in other Christian communities who generously shared their knowledge. I am grateful for their openness and for how God used them to equip me for the journey ahead.

My formation in healing ministry began in 2012 with the International Order of St. Luke—an interdenominational Christian healing organization (osltoday.org). In the spring of 2022, I completed my training as an OSL Inspirational Speaker. I also trained with Christian Healing Ministry, completing all four levels (christianhealingmin.org). Additionally, I completed leadership training with Heart of the Father Ministries’ Unbound Deliverance course (heartofthefather.com).

Recognizing the need for solid Catholic healing formation, I sought out training with The Servants of Mary and attended diocesan workshops on grief and bereavement. These experiences deepened my understanding of how different Christian cultures perceive suffering, healing, and redemption—all of which are central to Christ’s mission.

In 2018, I took a leap of faith, selling my business and fully dedicating my life to God’s calling. It was during this time that the Blessed Mother placed on my heart the vision for what would become The Triage Ministry. In obedience to her request, I officially founded the ministry as a nonprofit in 2021. Today, we enter a new chapter in ministry, grateful for the season of working closely with the Diocese of Charleston, and trusting in God’s unfolding path ahead following the retirement of the Senior Exorcist.

In the spring of 2022, I completed my certification in Spiritual Direction through the Charleston Cohort with Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama. (You can view my commissioning ceremony for the Diocese of Charleston here.)

In August 2023, I began my journey in Brainspotting Therapy, completing Phase One and Phase Two training. I am now a Certified Brainspotting Practitioner. This gentle, powerful method helps identify and release trauma stored in the brain and body, allowing for profound healing and freedom.

I have witnessed remarkable breakthroughs using this approach. If you feel drawn to explore it, please reach out — I would be honored to walk with you.

I am also honored to have my work published on Catholic365.com, where I share reflections on faith, healing, and the transforming power of God’s love.

Our Mission at Triage Ministry

“Where the Church’s systems cannot reach, Triage Ministry goes.
We tend to the invisible wounds: grief, trauma, spiritual abandonment.
Our mission is to be a field hospital for the soul — offering mercy, presence, and hope in Christ.
Your partnership would allow us to reach more souls who quietly suffer beyond the walls of the parish.”

Canonical Standing
Triage Ministry is a private association of the Christian faithful, serving in fidelity to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church through prayer, healing, and accompaniment. Our mission always points the faithful back to the sacraments and parish life.
